Centric satisfied with 2008 results
Gouda, 16 June 2009 – Centric anticipated the economic recession in 2008 and took measures in good time to keep the organization's liquidity position at the required level. Partly thanks to this, the organization managed to finish the year with a rather positive result. Sales were up to € 967m – 22% more than in 2007. Profits saw a 12 percent drop to a little over 45m euro. Considering the circumstances, these are very satisfactory results.

IT services, engineering and consultancy services, and financial services all performed satisfactorily. The average number of employees in the Centric organization as a whole rose from 7,436 in 2007 to 8,272 in 2008.
ICT activities
Centric ceaselessly strives to spread its activities and risks in order to guard itself against fluctuations in the economic climate. The strong position in the public sector is of considerable importance for the organization. IT management activities have also made good progress. Thanks to its in-house knowledge and staff, Centric is able to provide a full range of services in this area, from automated software distribution to computing centers. This, along with high customer satisfaction levels, brought in a host of new assignments in 2008.
Financial services
The main priorities in Finace's 2008 policy were the increasing development and sale of customized solutions, professionalization of the organization and reinforcement of employee loyalty. Finace has made significant investments in the development and sale of customized solutions in the form of complex, multidisciplinary projects. As a response to market needs, Finace provides a full, integral range of services from all business units. These developments mean that, despite the economic circumstances, Finace can stand by its qualitative objectives and long-term strategy.
Engineering and consultancy services
All three of Oranjewoud's core segments – engineering and consultancy services, contracting and outsourcing – showed growth and dynamism. The most notable acquisition in 2008 was the takeover of the American company, Delta Environmental Consultants Inc. This has put Oranjewoud in a position where it can provide its internationally operating customers with better service, in collaboration with the international environmental alliance Inogen. The organization also purchased stakes in a number of companies in the artificial grass pitch production chain.
